Kane nominated for Apprentice of Year

Recognition, Success Stories

Directions second year aircraft engineering (mechanical) apprentice Kane Doyle has been nominated for Aerospace Apprentice of the Year for his host company, BAE Systems’, 2018 Aerospace and Integrated Systems Trades Awards.

The national awards are described by BAE as a celebration of “…the fantastic skills and contributions of our technical workforce”.

Kane has been recognised for his work ethic, attitude, academic achievement and passion for learning by both his mentor and TAFE instructors.

“Kane’s enthusiasm and appetite for knowledge is widely recognised within the Pearce workforce enabling him to build a superb rapport with peers and supervisors” his mentor Robert van Heerden said.

“Kane has an excellent attitude towards work and this is evident with his enthusiasm and appetite for knowledge across the aviation spectrum.

“Kane also takes on board any criticism and works to improve.”

Kane will attend the awards night in Newcastle later this month to find out if he was successful but he’s already a winner to us. Congratulations and keep up the great work Kane!
