Community Support Through Traineeships
Since its inception over 30 years ago, we have been committed to supporting our community to grow and thrive, primarily through skills and workforce development.
Today, as an ACNC registered charity ourselves, we continue that commitment through practical opportunities to make a real difference and give back to our community, and which align with our mission and values.
We are proud to launch the Community Support Through Traineeships program as our latest community focussed initiative. Through this program we will provide support to our community via other dedicated charities and not for profit organisations, to help them grow and continue to make a difference.
It is anticipated that these would be Level 2 or 3 Business traineeships but this is somewhat negotiable subject to the qualification proposed meeting the application criteria and the intent of the program.
By placing a fully funded trainee with the selected recipient organisation, we enable them to grow their internal capabilities while providing an employment and training opportunity for a carefully selected individual.
In its inaugural year, Community Support Through Traineeships will fund 2 full time traineeships for a 12 month period. During that period, the successful recipient organisations must commit to providing meaningful work opportunities and support the on the job learning of the trainee.
Directions’ Community Support Through Traineeships program is made possible by the business and support of our clients. Any surplus that we make is reinvested to further support our own services to the community or invested in our community programs. By working with us to produce the next generation of tradespeople, professional, business owners and leaders, our clients are working with us to make a real difference.
