About Apprenticeships & Traineeships

Apprenticeships and traineeships are an excellent way to gain practical work experience while you complete training towards a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships and traineeships are available in more than 500 occupations across most industries and at a range of different qualification levels.

You can do an apprenticeship or traineeship if you are a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce, or as an adult or mature-aged person wishing to change careers. You can even begin your apprenticeship or traineeship while you're still at school.

Apprenticeships and traineeships are available to anyone of working age who is an Australian citizen or a permanent resident. In some limited cases, other types of visa holders may also be eligible.

Apprenticeships and traineeships can be full time or part time.
